Preemies at risk for psychiatric problems as teens

A new study from Columbia University Medical School published in the July issue of Archives of General Psychiatry and reported in HealthDay suggests that the risk for psychiatric problems in teens is higher in preemies than in normal term babies, however early identification is possible through brain ultrasounds, which can lead to effective interventions.
