Special-needs kids more likely to be bullied

A recent study published in Pediatrics and reported in HealthDay looks at the prevalence of bullying and victimization in the special needs population in elementary schools.  The authors noted a decided disadvantage socially and academically for these students, which sets in motion a trajectory of further school and personal failure if health and educational services aren’t  united in addressing the needs of “the whole child”.
