The importance of teaching kids self-control, and thoughts on the value of distraction!

Thanks to Joseph S. from Montreal for pointing out two very interesting articles from the weekend’s New York Times.  The first looks at how teaching self-control teaches kids to to cope and think on their own – think “Canadian” when  you read Building Self-Control the American Way .  The second article is a delightful walk through one person’s lifetime experience with The Art of Distraction .  The accompanying cartoon says it all!
