A different perspective on homework

An experienced psychologist has some thoughts on the homework problem, which he shares in his article in today’s Washington Post.  Would you agree with him that homework is a “trap” for some kids, and if so, how do you negotiate that battle ground between parents and teachers?

    I think that it is ridiculous to call homework a trap. Some children need to do homework in order to keep up with classroom expectations and to be successful.
