How effective are antidepressants for symptoms of Autism?

A new study published in Pediatrics and reported in msn’s HealthDay , casts a very questionable picture of the accuracy of our understanding of the impact of antidepressants for symptoms of Autism due to “publication bias”.  Apparently researchers prefer to publish “good news” results from clinical trials and may suppress results that don’t support the use of medication interventions.  It makes on wonder how good our information really is – and the information physicians receive too!
