Videogame as therapeutic tool for depression

An article in medage TODAY describes a new tool developed in New Zealand – a videogame for teens intended to provide therapy for depression.  The game, called SPARX, has proven as effective as face-to-face cognitive behaviour therapy, according to research reported in BMJ, and is considerably more available and more cost effective.  Oh dear – can we be that easily replaced by computers?
