How well do we do at diagnosing Autism in North America?

A new study from the National Institute of Health in the US, and reported in Medpage TODAY , suggests that about half of children with autism aren’t diagnosed until they are in school, and of the percentage that are diagnosed as preschoolers, most are prescribed psychotropic medication, but only about 40% of parents were recommended to follow behavioural interventions.  Are we doing better in Canada?
