Immediate rewards improve test performance

A new study from the University of Chicago, reported in PsychCentral , demonstrates the impact of immediate rewards for students when taking standardized tests.  Different rewards worked for different age groups, but the effect was uniformly strong.  Just goes to show that students aren’t necessarily internally motivated to succeed!
