Child abuse includes more than physical harm

The American Pediatric Association is calling for better understanding of all forms of child maltreatment among professionals, and better identification and treatment for those children impacted, according to an article in Pediatrics reported in medpageToday .  There is a clear role for school psychologists in terms of identification as well as in parent training, although psychologists aren’t mentioned in the article – sigh!
