How attitude predicts teens’ life experiences

Two recent articles speak to the flip sides of positive and negative attitudes in teens, and the long term effects of each.  A study from PLoS One and reported in medpage TODAY speaks to the results of a longitudinal study of teens with gloomy outlooks on life, while another study from APA, reported in PsychCentral , presents results of another long term study of teens’ sense of appreciation of what life brings them and how appreciation impacts personal happiness.  So the challenge is how do we help shape attitude?
