Behavioural early intervention changes brain functioning in autistic children

Results of a study from the University of California – Davis, reported in EurekAlert,  has demonstrated that a behavioural program can change brain functioning in autistic children.  Named the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), the intervention method fuses a play-based, developmental, relationship-based approach and the teaching methods of applied behavioral analysis.
