Insight into the connections in the autistic brain

Researchers at Boston Children’s Hospitall have been studying the brain connections of children with autism in comparison to  “neurotypical” children.  This most recent study, reported in EurekAlert , found that the brains of children with autism had numerous short-linked connections, but few if any long-distance connections, explaining their perseveration on detail and inability to problem-solve.  Interesting!
