What causes concussions in girls’ soccer?

A new study of girls’ soccer teams and concussions, published in JAMA Pediatrics and discussed on medpageTODAY looks at speculation that “heading” the ball was the main cause of concussion.  In fact, that appears not to be the main reason that athletes suffer from concussions at all!  Results offer cautions for all contact sports.
