Kids’ mental health suffers from frequent school changes

New research from the Warwick Medical School, published in the American Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry,  has found that frequent school moves are associated with a higher incidence of psychiatric symptoms in the teen years and subsequent mental health problems later in life.  The authors recommend that schools help buffer the adjustment of new students so that they feel accepted and are not bullied.
