Why laptops don’t improve learning

A new study, noted on the APS website and reported in the Washington Post, looked at whether laptop note taking was a better learning tool than hand written notes.  Surprise – the handwriting students won!  In a time when more schools are encouraging laptops in class, this might be an important message to get across to teachers.
