Teaching personality change can reduce depression in teens

An article in the Washington Post summarizes a study from Clinical Psychological Science on-line in which teens were taught how to change personality traits that could lead to depression.  Follow-up at the end of the school year noted a large reduction in depressive symptoms in the group receiving intervention as opposed to the control group.  An interesting example of a brief intervention with very positive results!
