School-based mental health interventions needed

Although this is not news to Canadian school psychologists, two recent articles in the The Lancet Psychiatry, reported in Medical News Today, cite the percentage of students requiring mental health interventions, as well as the fact that kids are more comfortable accessing help in school.  Interestingly, however, there is no mention of the need for increased numbers of school psychologists to meet the need and implement prevention measures.  What’s happening in your area?
