Childhood trauma and resilience

A new study from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, reported in PsychCentral, discusses the prevalence of childhood trauma and its impact, both immediate and long-term, on children’s emotional and educational development and school performance.  The authors note that training in resiliency and trauma-informed school practices can go a long way to ameliorating the impact of the traumatic events on children.  Is your school “trauma-informed”?
