Quality sleep correlates with grades for elementary school students

A new study from McGill University, cited in EurekAlert, found that the quality of sleep, “sleep efficiency”, that elementary school students get relates directly to grades in math and literacy.  Recommendations to look carefully at sleep issues for children with poor performance as a first course of action are made, since these are often overlooked and may be root causes of the problem.
