Identifying future reading problems early

An article in the Globe and Mail describes how brain scans at age 3 can help predict which children will have reading difficulties when they enter school.  Although this isn’t going to become common practice any time soon, the authors do describe the brain’s ability to process sounds and relate that capacity as it leads to reading struggles.
