How accurate are our diagnoses of behavioral and emotional disorders?

An article in the Globe and Mail looks at how we currently classify mental disorders and challenges the whether they are discrete in descriptions of the symptoms presented or overlapping.  The article describes the work of the Province of Ontario Neurodevelopmental Disorders (POND) Network, sponsored by the provincially funded Ontario Brain Institute, which is studying multiple disorders together, with the hope that such an approach will lead to a better understanding of their biology.  This very interesting approach to diagnosis and treatment promises to change our thinking.
